Gender Reveal Party

On Saturday May 3rd we had a gender reveal party. We had so many family members and friends it was amazing! Russell made a movie with the ultrasound pics to do the reveal. Everyone was surprised when it showed that it's a girl!
I found lots of ideas on pinterest. I made this little chart for them to cast their votes.

I wrote the old wives tales and circled the ones that applied to me.

 We BBQ'd hotdogs and hamburgers.

19 Week Ultrasound

We had the 19 week ultrasound on our 10th anniversary! We already knew the gender but the Dr. still had to check the baby from head to toe and make sure everything was going well. Everything looks good. She has a couple of cysts on her brain but the Dr. said it's rare for them to be a problem and since he sees nothing else concerning he said not to worry about it. We will have another ultrasound in 8 weeks to make sure they haven't grown and that everything still looks good. The baby was really squirmy and refused to hold still so the tech could get good shots so we were glad that we had the ultrasound the week before to confirm that it was a girl. We are so excited for this little girl to join out family!

She has Eldredge feet for sure!

Don't you think she looks so much like Kennadee??!!

18 Weeks

I was having some cramping and some spotting type stuff so I called the Dr.'s office and they said it would be best to come in just to check on the baby and make sure everything was okay. So we went in and they looked at me and asked a few questions and thought maybe it could be a UTI or a blood clot that had dissolved and the cramping was from the coughing and sneezing I had been doing and also from wearing pants that were too tight. They checked the heartbeat with the doppler and couldn't find it!! Having had 2 miscarriages I was freaked out so they decided we should have an ultrasound to check and make sure everything was okay. When we went in the tech asked us if we wanted to know the gender. We were supposed to be finding out the next week at my 19 week appointment and we were going to be having a gender reveal party so Russell was going to find out and then tell Kennadee and I with everyone else at the party. But there was no way I could have stood Russell knowing for a week and a half before I did. So I told him that if he found out I got too also and if not then we would wait to find out until the next appt. He decided we should both find out so we sent Kennadee out of the room and told her not to listen. The tech did all her looking around and making sure everything was okay and then she got to the gender part! Now for this whole pregnancy we have felt this baby was a boy since I was not as sick as with my first and it had just all around been a better pregnancy we thought for sure boy! So when the tech said "It's a girl!" We were shocked! We even asked her if she was sure and she kept looking and said 99.9% sure! (I think she was a little offended that we doubted her) Well the tech had said it so loudly and I had also said it loudly so Kennadee ended up hearing through the door. We swore her to secrecy since we wanted to wait until the party to tell people what we were having. She did a great job keeping the secret!
The baby was so cute!! She was turned toward my placenta and snuggling it which was why they couldn't hear the heartbeat with the doppler. And she kept rubbing her face with her hand. Adorable!!

15 Weeks!

I thought I'd post a picture of myself at 15 weeks! I'm definitely bigger at this point than I was with Kennadee but that's okay! Once the 2nd trimester started my nausea passed and I feel great for the most part!

9 Week Check-up

I went in for my 9 week checkup on February 27th. All went well. When they did the ultrasound Russell was holding Kennadee up so she could see and as soon as the baby came on the screen the little arm was waving away! It was so cute! When they switched it over to the 3D I totally lost it. It was finally starting to feel like this was real! This little perfect baby, just hanging out inside me! The baby looks good and I was actually measuring at 10 weeks instead of 9! I'm so excited!!

Wow I can't believe it!!!!!

A few weeks ago I went into the Dr.s office because I had been experiencing some pain and also having strange spotting throughout the month. The Doctor did an ultrasound and discovered that my Endometrial Lining was really thick and that could be a sign of cancer. She did a biopsy which was so incredibly painful! And then gave me a 3 month prescription for birth control to force my body to flush out the lining and told me to come back in 3 months to have a follow-up ultrasound.
With the birth control pills I had been having a lot of nausea and had been feeling exhausted and the longer I was on it the more nauseous I became.
Russell went out of town for a conference in Virginia so my Dad came to stay with Kennadee and I. Yesterday I woke up in severe pain in my abdomen and got up and used the bathroom several times to try to make it feel better but nothing helped. I was going to try to go to work anyways so I got all ready and then when I sat down to eat breakfast the pain was so much that I started vomiting. I was so miserable! I sat in my living room with the garbage can just being miserable. I decided not to go to work because I was so miserable. Luckily my dad was here to take Kennadee to school and be with me and take care of me. At around 8:30 I told my dad I needed him to take me to the urgent care. They got me in and brought me straight back to the room. The Dr. came in and checked my abdomen and did some tests and came to the conclusion that it must be my appendix so he ordered some blood drawn and had me take a urine sample and then he sent me to get an Ultrasound and CT. After the blood was drawn I went to the bathroom to do the urine sample and almost passed out! I got back in the wheelchair and was in so much pain that they gave me Demoral and Phenergen for the pain and the nausea that was able to help me calm down a bit. We headed to Ultrasound and had to wait a bit which was agonizing. When the Ultrasound tech guy came in he said, "If you were pregnant how far along would you be?" I thought that's a weird question and I responded, " I'm on birth control and suffer from infertility so if you find a baby in there I'm gonna give you a hug!" He gooped my belly and started looking around. After a minute he looks over at my dad and said, " See that? That's a gestational sack, and that's a baby!" I screamed and grabbed the Techs leg and said "I'm Pregnant??, I'm Pregnant?? I'M PREGNANT!!!!" Then I had my dad hand me my phone so I could call Russell to tell him the news. I said I'm Pregnant, He said What? I Said I'm Pregnant, He said What? I said I'M PREGNANT!!! Neither of us could believe it!! I even got to hear the heart beat, a strong 150 bps. Then the tech took lots of measurements and pictures. He found a couple of ovarian cysts and then went on to look for my appendix. Luckily it turned out to be normal so they ruled the pain to be caused from the cysts.
I took a few naps throughout the day yesterday and every time I woke up I looked at my Dad and he said "Yep, you're pregnant" It still hasn't sunken in completely but I am so excited and am praying my heart out that I carry the baby full term and that everything goes well!!
